Personal Profile

I have recently graduated from the University of Portsmouth, receiving a 2:1 in Computer Game Enterprise and am looking for Graduate opportunities. As an insatiable creative, I have great enthusiasm for challenge and self-improvement and am captivated by video games as an interactive medium.

As a friendly and social person, I have thrived in exercises of interpersonal collaboration, taking satisfaction in actualising the visionary leadership of others as much as employing my own. Through my Computer Game Enterprise course and multiple game jam events, I have experienced studio-style setups developing video games from pitching to the showfloor. I greatly enjoyed working with new people and recruiting small communities of playtesters to employ informed changes through accumulated data. These experiences have also allowed me to build an endurance to pressure and time restraints without sacrificing work quality.

The psychology units of my University course developed an analytical approach to defining user experiences and player engagement, retention and satisfaction. This complimented the unique Enterprise units of the course that have allowed me to become well versed in modern video game business models that can inform game design unique to different platforms, building a methodical mindset. As a passionate creative, I have a keen attention to detail and show strong written and verbal communication skills.

Video games are a life long artistic passion, and I have been headstrong about producing games since I won the Nintendo Official Magazine's 'Game or Lame' game design competition at age 13. I have skills in 2D/3D art, sound, storytelling, programming and animation, which have informed my game design and production roles as well as allowing me to better understand and communicate with teams containing varied skill sets.

Skills

I have skills with the following software: Unreal Engine, Unity, 3DS Max, Zbrush, Substance Painter, Excel, Photoshop, Logic and Premiere Pro. For quick and effective communication with team mates in game design projects within and outside of University studies, I have used Slack, Discord and the G Suite extensively.
