This is my composition named 'Discovery', inspired by RiME. I wanted to fully convey the range of emotions felt during an adventure, including tension, mystery, soaring highs and gritty lows. I tried to give the piece an epic feel that I felt would be appropriate for a full-scale, emotive adventure such as RiME.

I used one guitar and Logic to create this. I had a blast experimenting with the sounds and discovering the structure as I came up with new sections. Instead of adding a metronome or traditional percussion, I added a looped muted guitar to emulate digital percussion found on old-school video game soundtracks, to give it more of a 'video game' feel.

I created this after finishing University, wanting to take advantage of creative momentum after finishing my deadlines. The winners have yet to be announced.
